Meet the Officer Board for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Olivia Eads
Training Director
Olivia is a junior majoring in political science and psychology. She is originally from Washington, D.C (actually NoVA), but she has loved attending school in Baltimore. Olivia is an enthusiast of Calibri font, an avid coffee-drinker, and a daily player of all NYT games. While Olivia didn’t start MUN until college, she has a long history of competing in debate and has a passion for public speaking. Last year, she served as HOPMUN’s Director of Marketing, and this year, she is excited to take on the role of Training Director, where she works to hone her fellow delegates’ speaking skills. Outside of MUN, Olivia is also involved on campus as Academic Director of Pi Beta Phi, an editor on the JHU Foreign Affairs Review Journal, and a member of the Alexander Hamilton Society as well as Psi Chi Honors Society. She is interested in pursuing a career in international law. If you’d like to chat about HOPMUN or anything else, please email: oeads1@jh.edu
Slava Talan
Training Director
Slava Talan is a junior at Johns Hopkins studying International Studies and Political Science. Slava was born in the frigid wastes of Moscow, Russia, but grew up in the foggy hills of Berkeley, California. As the years went by, he lost his affinity for buckwheat but not his cold gaze. This year, Slava will be acting as one of HopMUN’s Training Directors, preparing useful lessons and exciting drills for the team. He is also developing a committee on the Iraq War for HOPMUNC III. With HopMUN, Slava has gained another outlet for his longtime interests in geopolitics and world cultures, which he also expresses by studying the Arabic language. In a year, Slava will head on to the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and from there hopes to pursue a future that features work across borders. Feel free to contact him at stalan3@jh.edu for any questions :).
Sloane Heredia
Training Director
Sloane Heredia is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins majoring in Electrical Engineering, and is very excited to serve as one of the three Training Directors! She's been teaching MUN to 5th-12th graders for the past 4 years, and sees slide decks in her sleep. Outside of school, Sloane works in surgical robotics and dabbles in finance, constantly combining tangentially related interests into unconventional work experience. Born and raised in the live music capital of the world (Austin, Texas) Sloane is always scoping out last minute concert tickets, and taking last minute trains to DC because it’s “such a pretty day outside! Reach out to her at sheredi3@jh.edu with questions, comments, or show recommendations!
Olivia Lowry

Originally from a small(er) town in Pennsylvania, she loves exploring all that Baltimore has to offer—especially at Camden Yards. Olivia is so thrilled to be serving as one of this years’ Recruitment & Events Directors, and she is so excited to help build a team that emphasizes community support and impact. Outside of MUN, Olivia is involved in sociology and political science research, as well as conducts independent history research through the Woodrow Wilson fellowship. On campus, she is also chair of the campus Lecture Series and is involved in the Critical Diaspora Studies Undergraduate Working Group. She is interested in pursuing a career in law as well as research. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions at olowry1@jh.edu
Sasha Kapur

Sasha Kapur is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University double majoring in Political Science and Public Health Studies. Originally from Central Jersey (yes, it exists), she's most happy that Maryland also has Wawa. Sasha is one of four Recruitment and Engagement Directors this year, and looks forward to meeting all the new and interested members and share the team culture. On the HopMUNC side, Sasha will be chairing this year's ad-hoc crisis committee. Outside of MUN, Sasha is a research assistant at the Berman Institute of Bioethics, part of the Law Review, and is very interested in the intersections between health, law, and public policy. Reach out at skapur7@jh.edu if you have questions on recruitment, MUN, or anything else!
Rishi Damarla

Rishi Damarla is a third-year pre-med student at Hopkins hailing from the Canadian city of Windsor, where he must travel north to cross the border into Detroit, Michigan. Rishi is excited to serve as a Recruitment and Engagement Director for this upcoming school year. He looks forward to meeting with prospective delegates at SIF and other HopMUN recruiting events. Eva Ji
Recruitment and Engagement Director
Eva Ji is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins university double majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and History of Art. She is happy to call Jersey City home, and can be found always by the water reading. As one of the recruitment and engagement directors, she will hopefully be spotted around campus telling anyone that they can join HopMUN too! She also happens to be chairing Rebel Inc., a specialized committee for HOPMUNC III. In her free time, she does immunology research and works at Seedling Inc., an education non-profit based in Baltimore. Otherwise, she will be wandering by the nearest art museum or updating her Beli. Reach out and say hi at eji4@jh.edu.
Ziyan Liu
Director of Marketing
Ziyan Liu is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University double majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Originally from the SF Bay Area, she has been slowly (but surely!) adjusting to the difference in weather on the East Coast. Ziyan is excited to serve as the director of marketing, where she hopes to liven up the social media pages of the team and increase the team’s presence on campus. In addition to HopMUN, she is also on the secretariat for Hopkins’ collegiate Model United Nations conference as the director of marketing and communications. Outside of MUN, Ziyan is involved in stem cell biology research, organ donation advocacy, and pre-health mentorship on campus. She is interested in pursuing a career in medicine as well as stem cell research. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions at zliu244@jh.edu.
